One Marylebone is one of London’s most sought-after event venues, known for its striking architecture and versatile blank canvas spaces.
Events by Knight were commissioned to design and deliver a Miami Vice-themed corporate summer party for 500 guests, bringing the vibrant energy, colour and style of 1980s Miami into the heart of London.

The brief was clear:

Create a visually bold, immersive experience that balanced nostalgia, energy and premium event design.

The Challenge

The Miami Vice theme is instantly recognisable.
However, delivering it at a high-end corporate level requires precision.

The Guest Experience

The venue was styled with:

Neon lighting installations
Pastel colour palettes
Palm trees and tropical florals
Contemporary lounge furniture with a retro influence

From the outset, the environment felt cinematic, transporting guests into the world of Miami Vice.

Spatial Design and Atmosphere

The layout was designed to encourage movement and interaction.
We created:

Lounge areas with white leather sofas and mirrored tables
Social zones for drinks and conversation
A central dancefloor anchoring the experience

The balance between indoor and outdoor space allowed guests to explore and engage freely.

Entertainment and Energy

Music and performance were central to the experience.
Guests enjoyed:

A DJ-led soundtrack featuring iconic 1980s hits and modern party edits
Professional dancers in themed attire interacting with guests
High-energy moments designed to keep the dancefloor active

This ensured the event maintained momentum from start to finish.

Interactive Experiences

To deepen engagement, we introduced multiple experiential elements:

Classic 1980s photo booth with themed props
Casino tables including blackjack and poker with professional dealers
Retro arcade games including Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Rally X

These features added variety and created memorable guest interactions throughout the evening.

Food and Beverage Experience

The catering was designed to reflect the vibrancy of Miami’s culinary culture.
Guests enjoyed:

Cuban and Caribbean-inspired dishes
Fresh seafood options
Tropical fruit stations and ice cream carts

Signature cocktails including Mojitos, Piña Coladas and Daiquiris were served by bartenders in themed attire, reinforcing the immersive experience.

Behind the scenes, detailed planning ensured flawless delivery.

On-site event direction from build through to close
