One Marylebone is one of London’s most sought-after event venues, known for its striking architecture and versatile blank canvas spaces.
Events by Knight were commissioned to design and deliver a Miami Vice-themed corporate summer party for 500 guests, bringing the vibrant energy, colour and style of 1980s Miami into the heart of London.
The brief was clear:
Create a visually bold, immersive experience that balanced nostalgia, energy and premium event design.
The Challenge
The Miami Vice theme is instantly recognisable.
However, delivering it at a high-end corporate level requires precision.
The challenge was to:
- Avoid cliché and elevate the concept
- Create a cohesive visual identity across multiple spaces
- Maintain energy throughout the evening
- Deliver a seamless experience for 500 guests
This was about interpretation, not imitation.

The Guest Experience
Arrival and First Impressions
Guests arrived into a transformed space that immediately set the tone.
The venue was styled with:
- Neon lighting installations
- Pastel colour palettes
- Palm trees and tropical florals
- Contemporary lounge furniture with a retro influence
From the outset, the environment felt cinematic, transporting guests into the world of Miami Vice.
