Designing a World-First Roaming DJ Experience for 20,000 Guests
Coral commissioned Events by Knight to deliver a bold and innovative entertainment concept for their 50th anniversary celebration at Sandown Park Racecourse.

With an audience of over 20,000 guests, the brief was clear:

Create a high-impact entertainment experience that could engage audiences across a large-scale, open environment.
Traditional staging would not be enough.
The solution needed to move.

The Challenge

Large-scale events often face a common limitation:
Entertainment is fixed in one location.
For this event, that approach would leave large areas of the audience disconnected from the experience.

The challenge was to:

* Deliver music and energy across a vast site
* Maintain engagement beyond a central stage
* Create something visually striking and unexpected
* Ensure full technical functionality in a mobile format

This required a completely new way of thinking.

Our Approach

Under the creative direction of Kwame Knight, the concept was developed:
A fully mobile, wearable DJ rig that brings the performance directly to the audience.
This was not an adaptation of existing equipment.
It was a bespoke solution, designed and built specifically for this event.

The Innovation

The roaming DJ rig was engineered to deliver both performance and mobility.
